Register of Medical Practitioners
The Register of Medical Practitioners is a list of all doctors currently registered to practise medicine in Australia. You can use the Register to check a doctor's current registration details. Search the online register at www.ahpra.gov.au
- Cancelled Health Practitioners: You can search for health practitioners whose registration has been cancelled by an adjudication body since 1 July 2010 (when the national Law (Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act 2009) was introduced). These practitioners are forbidden by law from practising the profession.
- Registrations Cancelled in NSW before 1 July 2010: You can search in published decisions of the Medical Tribunal, Professional Standards Committee and relevant Court decisions for information relating to the cancellation of a NSW doctor's registration prior 1 July 2010.
- Unregistered persons: The Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (NSW) No 86a prohibits a non-registered person from holding themselves out as a registered medical practitioner. Read More
- Legal decisions: The details of disciplinary and related legal cases are available in the published decisions of the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal, Medical Tribunal (prior to 2014), Professional Standards Committees, and relevant Courts. View published decisions >
